Pretty Things and the Root Chakra

Purchased a few pretty things at Forever 21 the other day. I've been especially in love with the hoop earrings, pictured above. I also have a thing for lightweight and lacy lingerie. For a special someone, you may ask? Nope, just decided to treat myself.

 On another note, I've been focusing on a healthy body, mind, and soul for the past year and a half or so now. I find this to be such an important part of life and want to share information with my readers. I have known about the chakras for sometime, but have often felt that the information I was reading about them was not only hard to relate to but hard to retain. Black is the new black

I recently got these Deena & Ozzy boots on ebay, and I am in love. I have a bad habit of buying shoes that aren't totally Seattle friendly, so I was stoked when I found out that these boots seem to keep my feet dry in the rain. The soles are heavy enough that they make a "click" when I walk, which is a welcomed bonus. The vast majority of the shoes in my closet are black. I keep thinking I should broaden the color selection; but then I'm always ending up with more and more black. What can I say, I like what I like!

I frequently shop this site, and am constantly drooling over all the goodies they offer. I'm crazy excited to get these in the mail. The shades are a tongue in cheek nod to Willie Wonka. The boots are to die for and were part of a buy one get one free sale & I decided on the color block top as the freebie, as I am in dire need of long sleeves.
