Tidbits

I was playing with my new camera, and decided to share a few tidbits from the kitty cove ( the place I sleep, eat, shower, blog from, etc). If you follow me on instagram you've already seen the charm bracelet I thrifted a couple of weeks ago, but I'll have you know I'm still obsessed. Sadly it's been cold here and I've scarcely been removing my jacket, so the poor bracelet hasn't seen much light thus far. I love the seventies vibe of it, and am definitely looking forward to styling it come festival season. I decided to share the little tray at the base of my earring stand. I have filled it with the little knick-knacks that I used to carry everywhere with me. These are things I always had on my at one point, they went from purse from purse and joined me on many adventures. Most are a bit dirty, as I was more of a wondering soul at this time. They all have a story behind them, & who doesn't love things with character? The quote is on an Imaginary Foundation t-shirt I have. If you like galaxy prints, I highly recommend checking them out, they incorporate galaxy prints in the most artistic way. & since I have Fridays free, I've got to say TGITH! (Hey, I'm allowed one cheese ball line per post!!)

Sweater Weather

Sweater- Vintage

I'm behind on the deadline I'd established to open my etsy shop. But I'm almost there. In fact these pictures were done specifically for the shop. There are some dangers in modeling my own inventory. You see, I tend to get attached. I love the tribal print and the over all comfort of this over sized sweater. And with the chilly weather it's rather tempting. Fortunately I do have some will power, and this sweater is going to be for sale. I love all my inventory but I'd rather share it then keep it to myself. I'll defiantly be posting in here when the shop opens, so stay tuned, and let me know what you think of this sweater!

Throwback Thursday!

Shorts- Pacsun
Shoes- PLNDR
Glasses- Forever 21

Was digging through some old pictures & found these from last spring or summer. Thought I;d share them with the world, and reminisce. As much as I think I hate Seattle during these cold, rainy winters pictures like these remind me of all the beauty the pacific northwest has to offer.

About A Girl

 Dress- Thrifted
Earring- Papaya
Shoes- Steve Maddens from Ebay
Lipstick- MAC Red

I’m insanely in love with these shoes. The pictures don’t do them much justice, but they’re covered in silver glitter. I snagged them off ebay a couple months ago but haven’t had much chance to wear them until recently. The velour dress was thrifted, and originally a maxi but I decided to cut it into and ultra mini. It got quite a bit of wear during the holiday season. As soon as I went outside to take these pictures I instantly regretted my outfit of choice as it was frikkin cold! I’ve always lived in Washington, but the winters still seem far too cold for me. I’ve been playing around with my clothes trying to find outfits that are both warm and chic. (This was obviously not one of them.) I have to say I do miss shorts season! & if the title of this post had you curious, the overcast day brought to mind Nirvana.

Wildfox Couture Spring 2013 Lookbook.

The 90's are "like totally" back. I'm loving every minute of it. Completely inspired by Wildfox's Spring 2013 lookbook, inspired by clueless. Going to dig up a few 90's movies this week and get inspired myself.

Insta-December

December is always a busy month, with the holidays, my birthday, parties to attend, shopping to do, and more often than not a quick getaway. Here are the instagram highlights of my December.

 1. Cheesecake at the best friends Christmas party.
2. It's a little silly, but this Jeffrey Campbell @reply totally made my day.
3.Taking time to unwind with my favorite movie, Factory Girl.
4. Enjoying the Hello Kitty Cocktail at Wasabi Bistro in Belltown.
5. The Henna I got my little sister for Christmas!
6. Just a bit of the beauty that was to be found at Mt. Bachelor in Bend, Or.

2013 Goals & Resolutions.

I was quite the chameleon in 2012, it was truly a year of changes. Many ups & downs. New job(s), started school, began this blog, moved, lost a few people, met many people, learned whats really important to me, & have started creating the reality I want for myself. 2013 is going to be a good one, I can feel it. Wishing everyone the best this year.

I tend to things done better when they are written down, so I made a list outlining my goals for 2013. On the blog front you can expect to see more frequent posts this year. More outfit posts, in particular. I have begun outlining blog ideas, and will be more organized about the whole process. I also have an etsy shop in the making. I plan to launch it sometime this week, before winter quarter starts (Jan 7th). The inventory is going to be vintage & up-cycled clothing, & I've had a thing for studs lately so you can expect to see a bunch of that.

Here's to the New Year, full of possibilities and opportunity for all.
