LBD

(Hat- We Are Massiv/ Dress- La Lune Vintage/ Shoes- Jeffrey Campbell via Ebay)

The little black dress has been a staple in every woman's wardrobe since Audrey Hepburn rocked it in "Breakfast at Tiffany's". These days there are so many variations and ways to wear your lbd. You can dress them up or down. Wear them short or long. Layer them, or wear them alone. I think I will never get bored of styling little black dresses, and I have a feeling fashion won't be getting bored of them either.

I learned to fight this war without weapons.

(Beanie, Shirt, Skirt- F21, Boots- Jeffrey Campbells via Ebay)

Sidenote: Oh man. Don't even want to get started on my weekend. My phone got stolen Friday night & by Monday night I was able to recover it. Amazed. So, fellow iPhone users, get that Find My iPhone app, & keep that shit on! I wouldn't have my phone if it weren't for that app.

This is a skirt I've had since 2010. It has honestly hardly been worn, despite all the time I've owned it. Lately I'm trying to "go shopping" in my closet, and pull the hidden gems out of the back to mix into my wardrobe. Wearing almost head to toe Forever 21 was totally unintentional, I didn't even realize it until I started taking the outfit photos, since I'd purchased the items at separate times. (Separate years even!) But I shouldn't be as surprised as I am, I've shopped there quite a bit in my time.

Inspo!

I often save photos I find inspiring, but seldom do they stick in my head permanently. This photo, however, has been saved to my hard drive for almost a year, and I still find myself looking at it constantly. I found it on tumblr, so unfortunately don't know who the model or photographer is, nor do I know what this photo is for. If anyone had that info get at me! In the meantime I'll continue being infatuated with this image, and hope that you'll enjoy it too.

Where Did My L.A.M.B. Go?

Denim Vest- DIY from the thrift store/ White Hoodie- L.A.M.B./ Tiger Dress- Ebay/ Earring & Bangles- PAPAYA Living, Ashland, OR/ Rings- Urban Outfitters & Pacsun/ Lipstick- Mac Red

I've had this LAMB hoodie for years, and rarely wear it. I've been scared of white for years. But finally I'm digging the color. (or lack of color?) Not to mention Gwen Stefani in the 90s has been a major style inspo for me recently, so it made sense to rep her brand. This dress came from ebay, & I have worn it so much! I could live in this thing. I've decided I need more dresses in the same shape asap. In fact I'm not sure why I hadn't thought of that before I started typing up this post... But hey, stranger things have happened.

Euro Trip Part 1: Amsterdam and Gothenburg

The top three photos were taken during my short time in Amsterdam. I was there on a layover and decided to explore the downtown area, as it seemed more appealing then the airport. (Duh!)

These three are from my time spent in Gothenburg, Sweden at the beginning of my trip. I returned for about a week at the end, my boyfriends "Mormor" lives in the city. I'm so in love with Sweden. I want to go back!!!!

I've decided to post the Europe photos in small parts, and interlude with other posts. This way I can blog about other things while blogging about my travels, & I get to relive my summer adventure for just a bit longer.

The Hiatus Is Over

Last May I decided on a whim to spend my summer backpacking Europe with my boyfriend. He was already going and was trying to convince me. I was worried about money, about leaving the things I held onto. (i.e. a closet full of clothes, the etsy business I was just starting, friends and family.) I couldn't be more happy that I went. I feel I've returned both a changed person, but also very much the same person I've always been. I have a clearer picture of what I'd like to do with my future, & I've learned to love myself more than ever before. I returned home at the end of August, but wanted to take some more time to reflect before entering the blogsphere again. I'm going back to school tomorrow, so it seemed like the perfect time to return on here as well. Expect a new banner, blog layout, etc. soon-ish. I say soon-ish because I know I want something different, but I want to wait for the inspiration to strike me so nothing seems forced. My style has evolved. I have evolved. Expect the next few posts to be a mini plethora of travel photos. Then I'll be getting back to the fashion world.
