Young & Baroque

(Daisy hairband- DIY/ $ Earrings- F21/ Jacket- La Lune Vintage/ Jeans- H&M)

For whatever reason my head is incredibly dizzy today, creating unbelievable writers block. You can see I keep using this bundle of daisies to accessorize. One might say I'm addicted. Maybe thats why my head is spinning- I'm having daisy withdrawals.

Goldie

tie dye, astrology, urban outfitters, curly hair, high waist denim shorts

(Jacket- Borrowed from a friend/ Top- Urban Outfitters/ Earrings- F21/ Shorts- La Lune Vintage)

Lately I've been embracing my crazy curly hair. Not only do I feel it looks rad, but its so easy to do! I literally hop out of the shower, keep a towel over my hair turban style while I get ready for the day (eat, makeup, get dressed, etc.), then tousle my hair with my fingers to make it bigger. No room for uniformity in these curls! I try to avoid brushes and combs when going with this look, as they tend to turn my curls into a big floof, and I'm not tryin' to look all fluffy. Ya feel me?

It only feels natural to wear colors or bold prints when my hair is all in your face like this. I absolutely love this astrology chart tie dye number from urban. I stuck the daisies in my laces as an afterthought, inspired by Marc Jacobs himself. I keep finding random uses for these flowers, and I think its fun to add an unexpected element to an outfit. Any thoughts?

Dope Krunk

(Tshirt & Bag- La Lune Vintage/Jeans- H&M/Sneakers- Target/Hat- We Are Massiv)

I love exploring new looks. Recently I've been inspired by Hip Hop and the 90's. Though my style is always changing, I have noticed one constant. My outfits frequently have a piece of my boho past, sometimes in bigger ways than others. I feel this outfit really gives of a hip-hop gypsy vibe, that I dig.

In The Sky With Diamonds

Vest- Thrifted/DIY
Jacket- Nordstrom
Socks- Forever 21
Necklace- Vintage

This Lords of Liverpool tank is an absolute staple in my wardrobe. I'm actually a little surprised I haven't posted it sooner, considering I wear it all the time. I got a bit chilly while shooting this outfit (don't let that winter time sunshine fool you) & had to put on my jackets, which actually ended up adding the the look. I recently picked up this denim jacket from the thrift store & chopped the sleeves off. I have plans to add some studs soon, make it a bit edgier. Oh, and in case you're wondering I did get my bangs trimmed the day after this shoot, so I can see again! All the better to type to you with, my dear.

DIY Tie-Dye Jeans

Printed denim is huge for fall. While floral patterned jeans are still on my fall shopping list, I thought I'd make some tie-dye jeans as well. I'll do an outfit post with them soon, but the weathers supposed to be hot this week, so more than likely it will be the week after.

What You'll Need.
A pair of old jeans, a medium-dark rinse is preferred.
Rubber bands.
Gloves.
Bleach.
Bucket.

Step One.
Soak the jeans in cold water, just long enough to get them thoroughly wet. Then ring the jeans out & dump the cold water.

Step Two.
Rubber band the jeans. This should be done randomly, so the effect isn't too uniform. If you want more dark spots, use more rubber bands, if you want them to be lighter, use less.

Step Three.
Create a bleach-water mixture. Mine was roughly 65% water and 45% beach, I didn't measure, just kind of eyeballed it. Then, using gloves, submerge pants into the water. I ended up putting a couple small, clean rocks on mine to keep the pants from floating. Let them soak, checking on them every once in a while until they have bleached to desired color. Mine took about 3 1/2 hours. More bleach will lighten them faster, but will be rougher on the fabric.

Step Four.
Safely dispose of bleach water, and rinse the jeans in cold water. Then wash the jeans, by themselves, and run through the dryer. And you're done! (Note: I'm going to wash my jeans alone a few times after this as well, to be on the safe side)

Target did me well

Dress-Target
Hat- Target
Bracelets- Swap-meet
Moccasins- Nordstrom

In love with this denim dress. Got it a few years ago from Target, but never wore it much until recently. It's late and I've got to head to bed soon (well, admittedly I'm going to watch Olympic gymnastics for a bit first), so not much time to type atm. Did do my midterms today, doing Summer quarter online, so a bit less on my plate now (can't help but the notice metaphors!) & more time for blogging.
